2. What Route2Kolleg does

Route2Kolleg is an independent educational app for Studienkolleg preparation by Typkurs. It provides German practice, C-Test, Lueckentest, mock tests, progress tracking, saved questions, and daily current-topic practice content.

3. Data we may collect

Depending on how you use the app, Route2Kolleg may process the following data:

• Account data: email address, display name, account identifier, sign-in provider, and authentication metadata.
• Learning data: selected language, Typkurs, German level, daily goal, answered questions, progress, mistakes, saved questions, and mock test results.
• Purchase data: subscription or entitlement status, product identifier, purchase or restore status, and related RevenueCat/App Store transaction metadata.
• Usage data: app launches, onboarding choices, practice events, mock test events, and feature interaction events.
• Diagnostics: crash logs, performance data, app version, device type, and technical logs needed for stability and security.

4. Why we use data

• To create and authenticate user accounts.
• To sync progress, saved questions, daily goals, and settings across devices when sign-in is used.
• To unlock paid features and verify purchase entitlements.
• To understand product usage and improve existing features.
• To maintain security, prevent abuse, diagnose crashes, and improve app performance.
• To provide customer support when users contact us.

5. Third-party services

Route2Kolleg may use the following service providers:

• Firebase Authentication for email, Google, and Apple sign-in.
• Firebase Firestore for cloud content, progress sync, saved questions, settings, and entitlement records.
• Firebase Analytics for app usage analytics.
• RevenueCat for subscription and purchase entitlement management.
• Apple App Store for in-app purchase processing and app distribution.

6. Legal basis for users in the EEA/UK

Where GDPR or similar law applies, processing may be based on contract performance, legitimate interests, consent where required, and legal obligations related to purchases, security, and accounting.

7. No tracking for advertising

Route2Kolleg does not sell personal data, does not share personal data with data brokers, and does not use personal data for third-party targeted advertising.

8. Data retention

Account and learning data are kept while the account is active or as needed to provide the app. Purchase records may be retained as required for entitlement, accounting, fraud prevention, and legal compliance. Diagnostic and analytics data are retained according to the service providers' retention settings.

9. Account deletion

Users may request deletion of their account and associated app data by contacting support@route2de.com. If account deletion is available inside the app, users may also delete their account from the app settings. Some records may be retained where required by law or for legitimate security and purchase verification purposes.

10. User rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Contact us at support@route2de.com to exercise these rights.

11. Children

Route2Kolleg is intended for students preparing for higher education pathways. It is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
